Welcome to Flotilla 7-6’s electronic resources on the web. On these pages you will find information about our history, our members, and our mission to support the efforts of the United States Coast Guard. We have a proud history of serving the northeastern Ohio area.

Our Flotilla is based at United States Coast Guard Station Fairport. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month for our normal business meetings followed by fellowship with our members. Throughout the year, we provide a variety of training and programs for our diverse membership and the men and women of Station Fairport.

Flotilla 7-6 provides Public Education courses on Safe Recreational Boating and Marine Safety. In addition, we support the public by offering free Vessel Examinations for power-driven, sail and paddlecraft vessels. We have a diverse group of members, many of whom directly support the various missions of the United States Coast Guard. These include serving as support crew to the Station's boats, coxswain and boat crew for Auxiliary boats, Search and Rescue Missions, Patrols, Aids to Navigation, food preparation and Marine Safety missions. We also support youth who may be interested in a career in the United Coast Guard as either officer or enlisted personnel.

  The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed civilian component of the Coast Guard, established by Congress in 1939 to assist in promoting boating safety. It boasts nearly 30,000 volunteer members from all walks of life who receive special training so that they may be an integral part of the Coast Guard Forces. Auxiliarists assist the Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as public education, vessel safety checks, safety patrols, search and rescue, marine environmental protection and Coast Guard Academy introduction programs for youth. Auxiliarists donate more than 2 million hours annually to benefit other boaters and their families. That is why we are called…
